General Members


黑料网 members have the right to be appointed to commissions and committees, to hold elective office and to be a member of the 黑料网 Board of Chancellors.

  • General 黑料网 members are physicians certified in a radiological discipline by the American Board of Radiology, the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the Collège des médecins du Québec, or physicians engaged in nuclear medicine and certified by a specialty board that is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties or its Canadian equivalent.

  • Medical physicists certified by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent.

* Physicians and physicists who are in their first 3-4 years of practice are eligible for reduced dues.

Resident and Fellow Members-in-Training


黑料网 member leadership feel that it is critical to invest in the future of radiology by providing future radiology physicians and physicists with free membership. We encourage you to have your program director upload you and your peers' information to the  so you can access the programs and webinars available to members as well as special programs and events sponsored by or developed for the Resident and Fellow Section (RFS).

  • 黑料网 residents and fellows in-training are physicians who are in approved radiology residency or fellowships in the U.S. or Canada registered in a formal educational program at a Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) 

    – or –

  • Medical and therapy physicists who are registered in a formal educational program in medical physics in the U.S. or Canada.
     
  • 黑料网 residents and fellows in-training are eligible for complimentary membership. They are considered members-in-training until they enter post-training employment.

  • Members-in-training are included in the Resident and Fellow Section (RFS). They are eligible to volunteer and hold leadership positions within their section.

  • Member-in-training status shall normally terminate within six months following completion of training. Individuals who go directly from an approved residency to a fellowship program may continue as members-in-training until they complete the fellowship program. Please ensure that you update your profile to continue your complimentary membership through your fellowship years.
     
  • Within six months of completing training, members-in-training will automatically become members of the College in the appropriate category of membership, unless they affirmatively decline membership. The first year of paid membership is only $77.

  • Residents and fellows in-training shall have the right to be appointed to commissions, committees and task forces but, except as provided in Article V, Section 3 of the 黑料网 Bylaws, shall not have the right to hold elective office or be members of the 黑料网 Board of Chancellors.

Residents and fellows who meet the criteria above are eligible for free membership.*

Medical Student Members-in-Training


  • Medical students in a U.S. or Canadian approved program who has an interest in becoming a diagnostic radiologist, interventional radiologist, radiation oncologist, nuclear medicine physician or medical physicist.
  • Medical students are considered 黑料网 members-in-training and are offered complimentary membership. They have access to the Medical Education and Student Outreach (MESO) section which provides pre-residency information, resources and toolkits to help them get a solid radiology foundation.
  • Medical student status shall normally terminate within six months following completion of training. Individuals who go directly from medical school to an approved residency may continue as members-in-training until they complete their residency and/or fellowship programs.
  • Medical students shall have the right to be appointed to commissions, committees and task forces but, as provided in Article V, Section 3 of the 黑料网 Bylaws, shall not have the right to hold elective office or be members of the 黑料网 Board of Chancellors.

Membership is free for U.S. and Canadian medical students who meet the criteria above.

Retired Members


Retired members shall have the right to be appointed to commissions and committees and task forces, but shall not have the right to be members of the 黑料网 Board of Chancellors. Retired members shall have the right to serve in elected office during the first six years following retirement.

  • Retired member status may be conferred by the 黑料网 Board of Chancellors upon application of a member who is fully retired from professional practice. A Retired Member shall be relieved from payment of dues.

International Members


International members shall have the right to be appointed to commission and committees and task forces but not to hold elective office or be a member of the 黑料网 Board of Chancellors.

  • International members are physicians and medical physicists practicing the specialty of radiology, radiation oncology or medical physics outside the U.S. and Canada who are certified in radiology, medical physics or are eligible for such certifications and are in good ethical standing in their respective countries.

International Members-in-Training


International members-in-training shall have the right to be appointed to commissions, committees and task forces, but not to hold elective office or be members of the 黑料网 Board of Chancellors.

  • International members-in-training are physicians and medical physicists who have never been 黑料网 members in practice, and who occupy approved residency or fellowship programs or are registered in a formal educational program in medical physics outside the U.S. and Canada and are in good ethical standing in their respective countries. International member In Training status shall normally terminate within six (6) months following completion of the period of training but may be considered for transition to membership in the appropriate class.

  • Individuals who go directly from an approved residency to a fellowship program may continue as members-in-training until they complete the fellowship program.

Allied Health Members


Allied health members shall have the right to be appointed to commissions, committees, and task forces, but shall not have the right to hold elective office or be members of the 黑料网 Board of Chancellors.

  • Allied health 黑料网 members, MRI scientists and Registered Radiologist Assistants (RRA) with certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), are eligible to be 黑料网 members.

    – or –

  • Physicians not engaged in the practice of radiology and other non-physician medical professionals whose special qualifications are deemed valuable to the College may submit an application for consideration for membership under the “Other” category. Applications submitted under the category of “Other” must be approved for membership by the Commission on Membership and Communications and Chapter Programs before 黑料网 and chapter membership can be granted.

Associate Members


Associate members have the right to be appointed to 黑料网 commissions and committees but shall not have the right to hold elected office or be a member of the Board of Chancellors.

  • Associate 黑料网 members are physicians engaged in the practice of radiology who have completed an approved residency program in radiology but have not been certified by the American Board of Radiology, the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the Collège des médecins du Québec, or physicians engaged in nuclear medicine but not certified by a specialty board that is a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties or its Canadian equivalent.

    – or –

  • Medical physicists engaged in the practice of medical physics and otherwise eligible for membership in the College who have not been certified by the American Board of Radiology or its equivalent.
